Civeo is a global workforce accommodations specialist dedicated to helping people maintain healthy, productive and connected lives while living and working away from home. As one of the world’s largest integrated providers of workforce accommodations, we operate over 14,000 rooms in Queensland, New South Wales and some of the most remote parts of Western Australia. Our accommodation assets have been home to thousands of guests, spanning more than two decades.
Civeo entered into their Joint Venture partnership with PKKP Enterprises Ltd at the beginning of 2019. The JV agreement is a bespoke partnership agreement that aims to build capacity and capabilities for the PKKP community. Already the partnership is seeing great success through programs such as mentorship opportunities, the focus being to bring more young Indigenous trainees to site and provide experience of working life in a remote accommodation village.
Iron Mine Contracting (IMC) was formed to provide Civil, Mining, Crushing and Screening and Indigenous partnering opportunities to the West Australian market.
IMC and its associated indigenous Joint Venture partners have been delivering projects to Tier 1 Resource clients including Rio Tinto, Woodside Petroleum, Northern Star Resources FMG, Roy Hill, Saracen Minerals and Newcrest Mining amongst others since 2013.
With extensive experience working for clients in remote areas and a deep body of knowledge gained from its diverse multidisciplinary team, IMC understands the specific challenges that constructing and delivering for its Western Australian clients presents.
Central to IMC’s mission is its IPA management system, providing a clear framework for the identification of new partners and a defined pathway to help these businesses grow and expand their capability.
We aim to create enduring employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people – fundamental to our desire to operate on the homelands of Indigenous Australians.
IMC PKKPE JV is a 50% Indigenous owned Joint Venture between IMC’s partnering arm, Indigenous Partnerships Australia (IPA) and PKKP Enterprises Ltd.
The Joint Venture was formed around specific opportunities sought at FMG’s Eliwana Project and sees the partnership moving readily through this defined discovery phase into the develop phase whereby additional clients and opportunities are being bought to bare.
