PKKP Alfasi Hire JV – PKKP teams up with hire industry specialists Alfasi Group.

PKKP Enterprises Ltd is proud to announce the establishment of the 50/50 joint venture business with Alfasi Hire.

PKKP Alfasi Hire JV is the collaboration of Alfasi Hire and PKKP Enterprises Ltd, the commercial arm of PKKP Aboriginal Corporation. The corporation administers the traditional lands and waters of the Puutu Kunti Kurrama people and the Pinikura people. Incorporating over 10,888 square kilometres of the Pilbara region, PKKP country is located between Pannawonica and Tom Price in Western Australia.

Based in Karratha, the PKKP Alfasi Hire JV offers an extensive, specially modified fleet fully compliant to stringent mining and construction site requirements. Machinery equipped with the latest safety features and mine specifications, including MDG15 and BMA, allows PKKP Alfasi Hire JV to provide the full spectrum of industry dry hire lifting requirements. The PKKP Alfasi Hire JV fleet consists of over 2,500 machines that provide access and telehandling solutions, and cranes with carrying capacities that range from 6t to 300t pin jib crawler cranes.

Alfasi Hire is providing the equipment, operational and strategic resources to the joint venture, with a strong focus on generating future commercial, business, employment, and capacity building opportunities for PKKP members. As a national leader in the equipment hire industry for 20 years, Alfasi Hire recognises its role in actively working towards indigenous reconciliation in Australia, a key social impact objective of the Alfasi Group.

The PKKP Alfasi Hire JV will provide a full range of hire services to the local mining and commercial sectors – including the supply of trucks, earthmoving, and excavation equipment. Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety requirements can be assured with ISO9001 and AS4801 certification.

“PKKP Alfasi Hire JV is part of the first stage of divesting from the iron ore sector and moving our business into the construction space. Our members will benefit greatly by the business opportunities that can be generated outside of On-Country,” explains PKKP Enterprises Ltd General Manager, Shaun Burgess.

The ability to offer hire equipment is in addition to PKKP Enterprises existing fleet of vehicles and heavy machinery available for hire on stand-alone contracts.
