PPKP Enterprises Ltd in Joint Venture with Iron Mine Contracting

PKKP Enterprises and IMC have partnered to create the PKKPE IMC joint venture, developing employment and procurement opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders living in the Pilbara.

The venture is 53% indigenous owned between IMC’s partnering arm, Indigenous Partnerships Australia (IPA) and PKKP Enterprises Ltd.

The PKKP IMC JV will supply Mining, Civil and Crushing and Screening Services to mining companies operating in the Pilbara.

PKKP Enterprises was established in 2019 to drive economic stability, employment, training, and business opportunities for the for the Puutu Kunti Kurrama and Pinikura people.

PKKP Enterprises GM, Shaun Burgess,is excited about the potential the partnership presents.

IMC was formed to provide Civil, Mining, Crushing and Screening and Indigenous partnering opportunities to the West Australian market. It has been delivering projects to resource clients including Rio Tinto, Woodside Petroleum, Northern Star Resources FMG, Roy Hill, among others, since 2013.

IMC’s Chief Operations Officer, Derek Williamson also recognises the potential for developing further opportunities in the industry.

FMG’s Eliwana site, 96km west-northwest of Tom Price is the landmark project for the venture. The works provided by PPK IMC will establish the site facilitating; access preparation, drill pad construction, clearing, topsoil stripping, earthworks, and rehabilitation services. The Eliwana project is being developed to provide 30Mtpa of processing capacity to the Fortescue Operations.
